Bari or Brindisi are the closest airports (Bari is marginally closer to Monopoli).
Many of the local hotels and b&bs offer their own shuttle services from the airports to Monopoli, so we recommend checking with your accommodation first to see if they offer this service. Some also offer shuttle services to different beaches in the area too.
Otherwise, to get from the airport to Monopoli, you can either rent a car, take the train or organise a taxi (see details below). We recommend booking a taxi in advance as the airports can be extremely busy - especially in the evenings.
Arriving from Bari to Monopoli
By train (45-60 mins): there is a direct train from Bari airport to Bari's main train station (Bari Centrale), from where you can change onto another direct train to Monopoli (you can purchase a ticket on the Trainline App for this second train). Look out for signs directing you to the airport subway station in Arrivals (to the left when you exit).
By car/taxi (40 mins): expect to pay EUR 100 for a taxi and to need cash.
Arriving from Brindisi to Monopoli
By train (45 mins): there is a train from Brindisi train station to Monopoli. You will have to get a taxi from the taxi rank at the airport to the train station. This ticket can be bought using the Trainline App.
By car/taxi (45/50 mins): expect to pay EUR 100 - 115 for a taxi and to need cash.
Coaches will leave from Monopoli to transport guests to the church at 2.30pm, so please arrive in good time. The pick up address and location will be provided shortly, which will be in central Monopoli.

Shuttles will take guests from the wedding venue back to Monopoli old town between 12.30am and 2am. Exact timings and details will be provided closer to the wedding date.
Alternatively, you can book a taxi for your return journey back to your accommodation from the list of taxi companies below, but be sure to book this in advance.
